WHY WE STARTED
Eleven was born from a desire to break away from the traditional salon mold. Our founder, Lyndsay Mackay, envisioned a space that felt different: warm, inclusive, creative and grounded in authenticity. After 15+ years in the industry, she realized that true beauty shines when people are empowered to express themselves freely; and that’s exactly what we set out to create.

We’re a collective of artists, educators, and visionaries who love what we do. Each member of our team brings something unique to the chair, whether it’s precision cutting, expert colouring, vivid transformations, or effortless lived-in looks.
but above it all, we are humans first. We laugh a lot. We listen. We collaborate. And we’re always pushing to elevate the salon experience with intention, empathy, and creativity.
We are located on the second floor of one of the oldest buildings in Collingwood. Built in 1850, this historic home holds memories of being a family mansion, A fancy restaurant, a refuge for orphans, and it held elephants and circus performers who would pass through town.

With our salon being commission-based and exclusively by appointment only — we ask that you please understand that any last minute cancellations result in a loss for our stylists and other clients that would have had the opportunity to book in.
You may cancel your appointment without charge anytime 24 hours before your appointment. Less than 24 hours notice will result in a 50% charge of the service scheduled.

For safety and comfort, we ask that you do not bring children or extra guests unless they are receiving a service.

Yes please! We love a good mood board, and our stylists will always do a thorough, in-depth consultation at your appointment time. just remember- filters, lighting, and extensions can make a difference. We will work to adapt the look to suit your hair type and lifestyle.

Of course! some colour appointments take a few hours. We do offer a complimentary coffee and tea bar at our salon for you to enjoy a latte, herbal tea or sparkling water compilmentary during your appointment.

We stand by our work and want you do love your hair. If you have any concerns, or anything feels not right, please reach out within 7 days of your appointment and we will invite you back in to make it right, and make it beautiful. We encourage you to let your stylist know at the time of your appointment if anything doesn’t feel right.

We will do everything in our power to make it right, and have a team of talented stylists willing and striving to give you the best possible outcome.

Gratuity is always appreciated but never expected. Tips can be given in cash directly to your service provider, or via card at checkout.
